11.30 - 3pm ish painting shoes and making a sculpture with them…(If you have acrylic paint or brushes to lend, please bring them..)
1pm ish lunch picnic etc.
The story of the red dancing shoes, in its women friendly version, will be available! BRING any old or odd shoes to paint! picnic, rug etc. This activity will flow seamlessly into the newly-formed Feminists of Hackney picnic, which will continue until later in the afternoon.
We’re by the bandstand - follow the pink wool to find us!
There is a cafe in Springfield Park - it gets crowded, and another by the river at the bottom of Spring Hill.
Entrances to Springfield Park from Clapton Common or Upper Clapton Road, entrances in Spring Hill, Springfield, and Spring Lane along the banks of the Lee. Buses 253, 254, 393, Clapton Rail Station (750 m)
Paths are wheelchair smooth but there is a BIG hill. Toilets by the cafe.
